BUCKLING TESTING INSTRUMENT-SB-SM-005

General Purpose: Euler buckling of Struts apparatus. Experiment for the study of buckling of struts and the relationships between length, end fixing conditions and buckling load. Mount on the Structures platform and connect to Structures onboard automatic versatile data acquisition system and software. Made in accordance with the latest European Union directives. Include different fixings and a selection of different length specimen struts for multiple experiments. Include vernier caliper for measurement of strut cross-section. Supplied with a storage tray to keep smaller items safe. This product help students to understand the nature of buckling in slender beams that simulate ‘struts. The buckling testing instrument UKAS management system certified and it mentioned in ISO certificate. Students able to fit one of a choice of struts between the two major parts of the product. One part has a hand-operated control to apply the buckling force. The other part has a load cell to

Technical Specifications:
Following items must be included as standard:
Two main parts: a load application assembly end and a load measurement assembly.
Selection of minimum five different length struts of aluminum: each of nominal 20 mm x 2 mm cross-section.
Interchangeable end fixings.
Hexagon tools and cable.

Software Application:
Along with data acquisition application, simulated experiments to allow students to simulate the hands-on laboratory experiments, verifying their results. Also, should allow simulation of alternative setups, such as struts of different cross-sectional shape and material, extending the learning experience beyond the practical laboratory session.
Features & Specifications:
Rigid design with adjustable feet and a low center of gravity for stability and accurate results.
Including measuring scales for easy and accurate positioning of parts, changing experiments should be as quick and simple as possible.
Made from precision, slotted aluminum extrusions and steel end plates, this module forms a sturdy, rigid, stable and strong experiment platform.
The platform includes the USB interface plug-and-play hub with Versatile Data Acquisition Onboard System and Software to simplify connections.
The hub converts signals from the sensors on each experiment module to USB data format for data acquisition.
The display and data acquisition software export experiment data to the universal comma separated value format (CSV) for use in spreadsheet and many other software applications.
USB interface hub come with fixings and USB cable.
Made in accordance with the latest European Union directives.
Power supply: 220 ~ 230V AC, 50Hz, 1 Phase.
Supplied with Hexagon tool, AC mains adapter, Software and Printed user guide.
The versatile data acquisition system software should feature:
Recording data manually or automatically.
Data capture set by time or intervals.
Display of real-time data, in digital form or as an analogue meter.
Real-time traces of analogue signals.
Logging data for printing and later analysis.
Exporting data for use by other software.
Performing real-time calculations to generate user defined data.

Features:
Licensed Simulation Software that allows computer simulation of structures principles.
High-quality structures teaching software for students of Mechanical, civil and structural engineering.
Give virtual experiments and easy to use & understand.
Mimic the hardware but allow students to change and extend many parts of the experiment.
Depending on the experiment type, the student able to alter different parts of each experiment, including the type and number of supports, shape of the structure or specimen, material of the structure or specimen and Young’s modulus of the structure or specimen.
The software also allows students to apply a greater range of loads, often including uniformly distributed loads.
Students able to see, tabulate and graph data, reducing time needed for them to get, process and show results.
Computer-simulated examination of a wide variety of structures principles, including Bending moments & shear force in a beam, Deflection of beams & cantilevers, Bending stress in a beam, Torsional deflection of circular sections, Unsymmetrical bending & shear center, Pin-jointed frameworks, Three-pinned, Two-pinned & Fixed-arch, Euler buckling of struts, Continuous & indeterminate beams, Curved bars & davits, Plastic bending of beams & portals, Redundant truss, Frame deflections & reactions, Simple suspension bridge and Bending moments in a Portal Frame.
